Carlos Masias

Principal, Creative Director

Publicist and graphic designer with over 25 years of experience in the advertising industry, Carlos has worked for top advertising agencies in Latin America, developing numerous brand strategies, campaigns and productions in major Latin American markets. As Art Director for GREY Bolivia, Carlos managed clients like Procter & Gamble, Banco de Crédito, Reproductive Health Program from Johns Hopkins University. Along with Gaudelli MCW (Mexico), Carlos managed the branding of Mexicana de Aviacion and Aeroperú for Bolivian Markets. Carlos’ experience led him to become CEO/Creative Director for Trazos Creativos in Bolivia, obtaining the representation of TBWA New York. He managed clients like the Brazilian petroleum company (Petrobras), NIVEA, Banco Bisa, Apple Macintosh, Grupo Gloria, among others. Besides his role in the agency, Carlos is the owner of one of Connecticut’s largest Digital Publications,

María Lino

Principal, Account Director

Maria is a multitalented editor, producer and communicator with over 10 years of experience in the communications industry. She serves as the editor-in-chief of Post Latino Newspaper. Maria was News Anchor for Telemundo Hartford-Springfield and was the spokesperson for Connecticut for Census 2010 “Latino Vote” campaign. While working in the industry Maria developed a passion for and a commitment to social causes; a commitment that has been recognized several times over: received “Hero Community Award 2010″ from the State of Connecticut; “Women of Hartford 2010” from the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women in Hartford”; and “Amigos de Alianza Brasilera” from Brazilian Alliance, among others. At The Latino Way, Maria is responsible for bringing to clients her structured vision of the Latino market. Maria has a bachelor’s degree in International Trade and a Master of Business Administration from Nur University.

Xavier Rodriguez

Strategic Director

With seven years of experience in Media for the Hispanic Market, Xavier is a strategic problem solver. He has managed accounts such as Jet Blue Airways, Bob’s Discount Furniture, and other Connecticut establishments, as a marketing consultant for Telemundo New England. Previously, Xavier functioned as Traffic Manager and Media Planner for Bauzá and Associates. Xavier believes that all brands have the power to communicate to the Hispanic consumer through the right acculturation strategy. In addition, he shares his passion for influencing growth in the Hispanic market at all levels. An advertising and market behavior strategist with fresh insights of the local and national markets who is determined to create the right connection between your brand and Hispanic consumers.

Luis Cabán

Senior Political Director

Luis Cabán is an experienced political analyst and civic engagement advocate who has been consulted by presidential and gubernatorial campaigns, and worked on campaigns for state legislative and mayoral candidates in various cities and states. He is an accomplished nonprofit executive who recently retired after a long tenure at the helm of SINA, Inc. Luis serves as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston CDAC, as Commissioner of the Metropolitan District Commission, and as Executive Board member of the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI). Over the last 35 years Luis has served as a senior executive with national organizations as well as a consultant to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; he has provided public policy and community development expertise to government and nonprofit agencies in 14 states and Puerto Rico. He has twice testified before the United States Congress on both housing and voting rights legislation. Luis is listed in “Who’s Who Among Hispanic Americans.”
